Kobori Sensei Seminar in Colorado

Midland Ki Federation and Denver Ki-Aikido are pleased to host Tomonori Kobori Sensei – Shihan, Shinshin Toitsu Aikido Kai and head instructor of HQ Dojo in Tokyo – for a seminar in Denver, Colorado, October 9-12, 2025.

This will be Kobori Sensei’s first in-person U.S. seminar for MKF members as our Komon - Advisor and Instructional Representative. This will be Kobori Sensei’s first in-person U.S. seminar for MKF members as our “Komon” - Advisor and Instructional Representative, and will include upper level Ki and Aikido testing Saturday afternoon.*

Kobori Sensei, Joden and 6th Dan, has been a student of Shinshin Toitsu Aikido (Ki-Aikido) and Shinichi Tohei Sensei for more than 20 years. After gaining several year’s experience as an ”uchideshi” (apprentice), Mr. Kobori became an exclusive instructor of Shinshin Toitsu Aikido Kai. He currently teaches at Tokyo, and in Tochigi, and also provides seminars to business professionals and professional athletes.

After the 2023 retirement of Koichi Kashiwaya Sensei as Chief Instructor of Midland Ki Federation, Shinichi Tohei Sensei appointed Mr. Kobori as MKF’s Komon (Advisor and Instructional Representative), to provide MKF Dojo with direct instruction.
